Designed exclusively for full frame VM mounts. The APO-SKOPAR 90mm F2.8 VM is a manual focus medium focal length telephoto lens optimized for full frame M mount sensors. The newly designed optical system uses Abnormal Partial Dispersion glass for 5 out of 7 elements in 7 groups to make your images rich, three dimensional in character and super sharp! In addition to high image quality, the apochromatic design that makes axial chromatic aberration as close to zero as possible. The clean and simple structure realizes a length of only 60mm long.
This compact lens packs a lot of quality into its small stature! The weight is also very light, at only 250g and making for excellent portability. Due to its small size, it does not protrude into the viewfinder frame when used on a rangefinder camera. In addition, due to the 10 diaphragm blades, the aperture adopts a special shape. This aperture makes a circle not only at the fully-open F2.8, but also at F4 and F22. You can cause the cinematic flares known as "ball blur" by pointing toward a point light source. This lens is designed for use with rangefinder-linked digital and film cameras.
Equipped with a high-precision rangefinder interlocking mechanism, you can enjoy the silky operation feeling of the all-metal helicoid ring and the real pleasure of focusing using the traditional optical rangefinder. The shortest shooting distance linked to the rangefinder is 0.9m (depending on the camera installed.) This is very close indeed for a 90mm lens. It can also be attached to Sony E-mount, Fujifilm X-mount, and Nikon Z-mount digital cameras with our Voigtländer mount adapter.
