Voigtländer NOKTON 28mm F1.5 Aspherical - E-Mount
High-performance large-aperture interchangeable wide-angle lens optimized for Sony E-mount
The NOKTON E 28mm F1.5 Aspherical is a large aperture manual focus wide-angel lens exclusively for Sony E-mount.
The lens is optimized for full frame Sony E camera sensors and is equipped with electronic contacts enabling correction
of vignetting, lateral chromatic aberration, and distortion by setting ON/OFF on the body side, in addition to reflecting
the lens usage status in the Exif information of the shooting data.
The built-in distance encoder is compatible with cameras equipped with 5-axis in-body image stabilization, which uses distance
information the subject for shift stabilization. The lens also allows viewfinder magnification by operating the focus
ring for comfortable manual focusing.
The optical design has ten elements in eight groups providing both compactness (overall length 55mm) and
high performance despite the large aperture of F1.5.
The aspherical lens provides excellent resolution wide open at F1.5. The minimum focusing distance is 0.28m.
Focusing is traditional manual focusing only, not AF.
The metal focus ring has a diamond pattern for excellent grip. It is stable even when attached to commercially available focusing
gear for moving images, and the high-precision metal helical provides silky smooth focusing.
The aperture is controlled by the lens aperture ring, not by a camera's command dial.
For video shooting, the aperture ring can select clickless operation without click stops.
The effect of the large F1.5 aperture and slightly longer focal length makes it ideal for "large background blurring" photography,
as well as for rendering out of focus areas of point light sources in a well rounded manner.
The aperture iris is nearly circular with 12 aperture blades.
The metal screw in lens hood is included.
