NOKTON 28mm F1.5 Aspherical - Nikon Z
Voigtländer NOKTON 28 mm F1.5 Aspherical exclusively for the Nikon Z mount
NOKTON describes F1.5 or faster Voigtländer lenses.
In the 1950s when the first generation NOKTON was introduced,NOKTON was positioned as a lens that made photography possible even
in very low light conditions. In contrast, the advantage of large aperture lenses in today's world, where image sensors have become more
sensitive, is the ability to use bokeh and limited depth of field as photographic expression.
At maximum aperture of F1.5 the NOKTON provides outstanding bokeh in the out of focus images
The NOKTON 28mm F1.5 Aspherical is a large aperture interchangeable wide angle lens covering a full-frame image circle (Nikon FX format).
The optical design is optimized for the image sensor of the Nikon Z system cameras.
The lens is equipped with electronic contacts which communicate data with the body. In addition to Exif information and in-body image stabilization (3 axes), by combining with camera
body features and the latest firmware*, the lens has three types of focusing support functions:
- focusing by colour changing of the focus point frame.
- focus-peaking function
- focusing with the enlargement button.
The optical design has 10 elements in 8 groups providing both compactness (overall length 57mm) and high performance despite the large aperture of F1.5.
The aspherical lens provides excellent resolution wide open at F1.5. Its easy-to-handle size and large aperture make it an excellent "low light shooter."
The minimum focusing distance is 0.28m. Focusing is traditional manual focusing only, not AF.
The metal focus ring has a diamond pattern for excellent grip. It is stable even when attached to commercially available focusing gear for moving images, and the
high-precision metal helical provides silky smooth focusing.
The aperture is controlled by the lens aperture ring, not by a camera's command dial.
The effect of the large F1.5 aperture makes it ideal for "
large background blurring" photography, as well as for rendering out of focus areas of point light sources
in a well rounded manner.
The aperture iris is nearly circular with 12 aperture blades.
The metal screw in lens hood is included
*Please use the latest firmware version of the camera body; bodies released before 2020 (Z5, Z6I, Z6II, Z7,Z7II, Z50) may not perform as well with older firmware
or some functions may be limited. Please check the body's instruction manual for information on checking the firmware of the body and obtaining the latest firmware.
