In 1983, Nikon released the FA. This was the first camera in the world to use Matrix metering. What this means is the silicon cells of the photometer measured the light dividing the frame in 5 separated zones, so scenes with high contrasts, like a person against a very bright background could be correctly exposed even in auto exposure modes. Along with this latest invention by Nikon, the FA also included two program exposure modes, shutter priority mode, aperture priority mode, TTL flash mode and, of course, manual mode. Camera Type: TTL auto-exposure Single Lens Reflex camera Film Size: 35mm Lens mount: F Mount AF: no Film Rewind: manual Flash: external Power Source: 1 x 3V lithium battery Dimensions (mm): 142.5 x 92 x 64.5 Weight (g): 625
